The Café del Centro restaurant, opened in 1873 as a casino, is today one of the oldest active modernist cafés in Barcelona. Located on the right side of Eixample, this emblematic space offers us an original atmosphere and excellent tapas.

Since 2022, Victor Ferrer, chef at Belén, has taken the reins of the gastronomic proposal at Café del Centro and offers a set menu with traditional tapas, classic flavors that blend wonderfully with the setting and modernist decoration of the premises.

The open-plan atmosphere of the Café del Centro is cozy and calm, unlike the bustling times of old. The spacious space has marble tables with iron feet, wooden ashlars, mirrors, oils and an old bar lit by ball-shaped lights hanging from the ceiling. All this has been valued by the Barcelona City Council when cataloging the establishment with the title of Emblematic.
